Anyone who has envied the PC community for the seasons as a console owner and Diablo 3 fan can be happy. With the start of Season 10 on April 1, Seasons will also be available on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One consoles.
What are seasons in Diablo 3?
Seasons allow you to start fresh with a brand new character. The first character you create in the season will be starting from scratch. Other seasonal characters then share the progress. At the end of a season, all characters are converted into non-season characters, including all of the progress you have made in the season.
This is also the perfect opportunity to level with a friend who may have just recently gotten into Diablo 3 at eye level and to experience the game anew.
Diablo 3 - The Season Journey
This is a sequence of challenges that are unique for the respective season. Some are done on the side, such as reaching certain levels, others require all your skill. As a reward, cosmetic rewards such as banners or pets await you.
But that's not enough, for reaching stages 2, 3 and 4 of the season trip, you will each receive a chest with 2 parts of your class set. These gifts are only given once per season, so survive with which class you open the boxes.
Which set the respective classes get is different every season. For the coming 10th season they are:
- Barbarian - The Legacy of Raekor
- Crusader - Akkhan's armor
- Demon Hunter - Equipment of the Marauder
- Monk - Inna's mantra
- Witch Doctor - Zunimassa's lair
- Magician - Delseres Opus Magnum
Seasonal leaderboard
To compare your performance in the season with others, there are the leaderboards. As part of the toughest stages of the season, you face special challenges: The Achievements. These also give you points for your total seasonal score. Your place in the leaderboard will then be calculated from your achievements and from the level of the Great Rifts you contest.
What happens to my things at the end of the season?
A question that is often asked, of course EVERYTHING is preserved. The season characters will be converted into non-season characters, all your achievements will be merged with the non-seasonals and all items from your box can be found in the mail. There you can pick them up with a non-season character and add them to your previous treasures. Likewise, rare recipes from the various craftsmen will be available to all characters at the end of the season.
Season 10 will begin for consoles on April 1st at 2:00 a.m. Central European Summer Time.
