Final Fantasy XIV - a constant in the MMORPG land
Final Fantasy XIV is, alongside World of Warcraft, one of the few remaining MMORPGs with a monthly subscription. Nevertheless, or maybe because of that, the game enjoys unabated popularity.
The developer team around director Naoki Yoshida is making every effort to polish up the reputation that was slightly battered by the original release. After Yoshida took over the team, FF XIV was completely redesigned and republished as Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Since then there have been regular extensive updates that expand the story and expand the raids. With the expansion Heavensward Then in 2015 3 new classes were added. Also the increase of the maximum level to 60. Flight mounts for the areas of the expansion, as well as a whole range of new dungeons, raids and PvP modes.
The expansion announced for June 2017 Stormblood continues all of this. Including new raids for the new maximum level 70 and the new classes Red Mage and Samurai.
For many players, the enthusiasm and the emotionality with which Naoki Yoshida's team drives the development is unique. The annual fan festivals are therefore always sold out immediately.
So if you want to start into the world of Eorza, you can start your journey with the new test version. Have fun!
Final Fantasy XIV has been released for PC, Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and macOS.
