Patch 5.0 for Fortnite brings the new season with a fresh Battle Pass and lots of new rewards.
The Battle Pass costs 950 V-Bucks and provides a lot of pastime with 100 levels and more than 100 rewards.
Also new in the update is the all-wheel drive cart for the Battle Royale. But instead of golfing, you race into battle with your friends here.

Gameplay

- There are also some new, distinctive, unnamed locations all over the map.

- Starting in Season 5, ongoing challenges are no longer limited to a single season. You can take the time you need now to face these challenges.
- Ongoing Challenges can now be completed by earning a fixed amount of XP and no longer depend on your Season Level.
- Weekly Challenges are now divided into two categories - Free Pass and Battle Pass. The first three challenges will be available for free, and the last four will require a Battle Pass. Each Weekly Challenge Pack is still considered completed with four challenges completed.
- Players who have fallen to the ground occupy a smaller collision area. Previously, the collision area was the size of a standing character, preventing players who had fallen on the ground from crawling under doors. Also, in some cases, they could block building.
- Crouched players who go down are crouched back after being resuscitated.
- Triggering emotes now pauses sprinting.

user interface

- Now you can challenge the horde in the desert! This map is less extensive, which means that the distances between the waves should be shorter from base to base. So you should have more time for building and manufacturing.
- In the Horde challenge, the storm behaves in a new way. Keep waves of hulls at bay as the storm approaches.
- Players in the storm take damage.
- The storm is reset for each wave.
- Horde Challenge Missions are now unlocked based on your progress in Storm Shield Defense or based on your progress in Horde Missions. This means that players who are busy with Twine Peaks should have the whole Horde Challenge map unlocked. Nevertheless, you still have to unlock the individual challenges in the horde missions in order.
- The total number of Horde Challenge missions on the map has been reduced from 16 to 9.
- There are now a total of 5 challenges per horde mission. So far, the number of challenges could vary from 3 to 8.
- The number of waves per challenge has been reduced from 10 to 8.
- The maximum duration of each wave has been reduced from 6 to 4 minutes.
- There is no more loot from enemies and from containers in the Horde challenge.
- Resource allocation has been revised in Horde Challenge:
- Horde Challenge Missions will now give you an Uncommon Assault Rifle and Uncommon Assault Rifle Low Level Sword to jumpstart your game so you can get started right away in early missions.
- The starting ammunition has been increased so that you are better equipped for the now more difficult first Horde mission.
