Ark: Survival Evolved - Patch 256 released

Ark: Survival Evolved

With the new patch 256, Studio Wildcard has implemented a lot of additional features in their game Ark: Survival Evolved.

Starting with the underwater bases, which also allow you to breed appropriate animals, to teleporters and generators, up to 4 new creatures, the update offers a lot of content.

In addition, the patch brings the first major overhaul of the user interface. All main menus and the inventory have been revised visually and functionally. Many unnecessary flourishes have been removed for easier navigation.

Underwater bases for Ark: Survival Evolved

In the course of the implementation of the TEK-Tier, it will now be possible to build an underwater base and even to supply it with air through fans. With the help of locks, the games can enter and leave their bases without completely flooding them with water.

The TEK animal is a multitude of technical innovations that are being built into the world of ARK. This includes devices with clear science fiction topics such as TEK teleporter spaces or wireless TEK electricity generators.

If you want to produce TEK items, you have to loot the new resource from bosses and receive TEK blueprints, elements or other boss rewards depending on the difficulty.

4 additional species in patch 256

This is found among the new creatures Equus Magnuswhich, like other horses, can be tamed and used for riding, breeding or as a pack animal. A lot of saddlebags can be attached to them according to their size.

There is also the unique unicorn, a special equus that is only available once per card, so be careful if you run into it.

Leedsichthys conviviumbrosia is a gigantic fish that is not afraid to attack and sink entire ships. The size has the advantage that you can cut entire pieces of meat out of the giant body without killing the animal or permanently injuring it.

The Alpha Leedsichthys Conviviumbrosia manages to get even bigger and can be recognized by its white skin. The player is rewarded with a lot of meat and even a special cosmetic skin for killing them.

Ark: Survival Evolved

Iguanodon Vicissitudinis is a new herbivore that is particularly useful when harvesting and, due to its speed, offers sufficient safety.

Last but not least, Ark: Survival Evolved gets the Ichthyornis Piscoquus as a new species. The seagull-like bird usually lives on fish and once the player tames it, he can also use it for fishing. As is so often the case, animals are the better hunters and you get better meat than if you catch by hand.
