The history of Starcraft 2 is inextricably linked with personalities in the community, Totalbiscuit was one of these formative figures. In honor of the recently deceased John "Total Biscuit" Bain Blizzard has now released a commemorative package, the proceeds of which will benefit his family.

Starcraft 2 - success thanks to the community

Totalbiscuit is probably best known for his commitment to Blizzard's Starcraft 2, for which he and his wife even founded Esports Team Axiom. He also created tournaments like Shoutcraft and other events. Outside of the Starcraft scene, he was with his YouTube Channel and the "WTF is?" series. His very critical, but honest, ratings and reviews of new games made him feared by developers and very popular with game fans.

In 2014 Total biscuit unfortunately had to be his Colon cancer who died on May 24, 2018 at the age of 33.

To support his wife and son, Blizzard has now initiated the Total Biscuit Memorial Package. The fans can purchase various cosmetic memorabilia for SC2 and the proceeds go entirely to the family. And of course the characteristic top hat.

Blizzard has also decided to pass on the income from the total biscuit announcement package to the bereaved. Even retrospectively from April onwards. So if you want to do something good, you should grab it here.

Following is the official announcement from Blizzard:

TotalBiscuit memorial package

As members of the StarCraft II team, we have always been grateful for the passion and support we have received from all of you in the community. We are fortunate to work for a group of great players, many of whom have played our game for eight years. As many of you know, John "TotalBiscuit" Bain was a huge supporter of StarCraft II. He and his wife Genna were early advocates of the game, and they created and ran the StarCraft II pro team, Axiom. Her passion for StarCraft II and the StarCraft II community sparked major professional tournaments such as the World Championship Series and SHOUTcraft Kings, as well as countless talk show episodes and appearances dedicated to the game.

In recognition of the Bain family's contribution to StarCraft II, we've created a number of commemorative cosmetic items for the game. All proceeds from the sale of these items go directly to Genna and her son Orion. Given this tragic loss, this is our way of thanking the Bain family for everything they have done for StarCraft II.

In addition, all future earnings (net of taxes) from John's announcement package will also go directly to his family. This retrospectively includes all purchases since the beginning of April this year.

The memorial package will become available this week. Please note that the package is only available for a limited time. Sales will end as soon as it sells out or December 31, 2018, whichever comes first.
