With all of the giant dinosaurs in ARK: Survival Evolved make life difficult, you long for a cuddly pet, a companion who is always there for you. This wish will soon be granted, with the otter - Lutra Peloso, the little wild animals also come into the world of ARK.
The wildlife can be found on most of the inland waterways and are skilled hunters and gatherers. Since they are not exactly among the greatest hunters in the jungle, they have to be wise accordingly. They are often killed for their soft fur, but many players prefer to tame the Lutra Peloso. Hardly any other creature offers such a loyal companion. On command he even catches fish and can find black pearls.
So look forward to the cuddly fellows who will be found in one of the next updates in ARK: Survival Evolved.
ARK: Survival Evolved - The further plans
In the other announcements, the developers give an insight into the future plans. After this End of Early Access there will be further updates, expansions (free and paid), new items to manufacture, optimization of the game client etc.
In particular, some stylish new TEK items make a great impression in the preview.
- The TEK sword with a jump attack and the ability to pierce armor
- With the TEK Shield, the player can reflect approaching projectiles
- The TEK light that can be attached to and detached from any surface. Either with a connection to a generator or with a battery.
The Ragnarok Modification receives the promised revision and grows enormously in size. Players can explore new regions such as the Coastal Wyvern Canyon, a tropical island, the plains, Tasmania, temples, caves and much more, plus there's an epic boss.
in the ARk Digest 47 blog there is also a question and answer session with lead designer Jeremy "Drake" Stieglitz. You can find this completely on the Steam page of ARK: Survival Evolved.
