The 10th Diablo 3 season is coming to an end. As the developers at Blizzard Entertainment announced tonight, June 23rd is the last day. After that there will be a longer break this time until the beginning of the 11th season on July 20th. The following season normally starts after a waiting period of one or two weeks. The decision to take a break of almost 4 weeks gives hope that the Necromancer DLC will be released during this time. So far there are no official statements about this and these are only assumptions.
Diablo 3 season transitions
Season 11 will start on a Thursday, previously always on Friday, so that there is enough time for the developers to fix them in the event of any problems. Another indication that this is not a normal transition, but more extensive changes are coming.
As always, at the end of a season, all of your characters will be converted to non-season characters. Your entire box contents will be sent to you via ingame mail so that you can sort it in peace. Bloodshards are also retained and simply added to your non-season bloodshards. Should you come over your maximum limit for shards, these will not be lost, but you can only collect more when you have spent enough bloodshards to be below the limit.
All achievements and possible cosmetic unlocks from the season are carried over and are available to you on all characters.
The leaderboards will of course be reset and repainted for the next season.
With the Paragon points, it is important to remember that these are not simply added up, but the experience achieved is added up.
For example: 200 non-season points + 150 season points add up to 249 points instead of 350. Since each additional point requires significantly more experience, this discrepancy arises. But you won't lose a single experience point.
A useful tool at this point is the Paragon Calculator, in which you can easily calculate how many points you can expect after the end of the season.
If you are still missing successes in the season travel, for example for the additional chest space, you of course have until June 23rd to secure them.
