The time has come 13. Diablo 3 season starts in less than 24 hours and those who are not too superstitious can look forward to a fresh start. Since there were no balance patches or class changes between seasons 12 and 13, the meta is almost the same.
Meta is the group composition that turned out to be "optimal". For experience runs that would be, for example 2x damage necromancer + 1 support necromancer + 1 support barbarian.
For reaching and closing the highest possible nephala imports, the whole thing looks like this:
1x support monk + support barbarian + 1x damage necromancer + 1x damage wizard.
These are probably the ideal groups, based on the absolute min-max principle. Of course, you don't have to play a class that you don't like, with a group that doesn't match you are 5 Great Nephalimportal Level lower, but that shouldn't be a big deal for 99% the player.
