The developers of Dota 2, Valve have released the Battle Pass for this year's The International 2017. The Battle Pass allows players and fans to increase the prize money for The International similar to a Kickstarter campaign. After reaching a certain level, bonuses are activated. 25% of the proceeds from Battle Pass sales goes directly to the prize pool.
The Battle Pass generally costs Level 1 $ 9.99, the Level 75 variant comes for 36.99 US dollars. You can increase your level through further investments:
- 5 level $ 2.49
- 11 levels $ 5.99
- 24 levels $ 9.99
Dota 2 - New multiplayer campaign
The reward you receive from Valve then depends on your level. All Battle Pass buyers get access to the new multiplayer campaign that will be released this month. A second act will be unlocked in July, you can explore this campaign with up to 3 friends together and defy the challenges. Monsters, traps and other deadly dangers stand in your way. Every time you contest the campaign, you will get the campaign experience you got on Wheel of fortune of rewards can convert into possible prey.
