RPG fans checking out the news at E3 Final Fantasy VII Remake hoped were gravely disappointed with Square Enix. Only now a week later, there were a few statements from the developers in the latest edition of Famitsu.
Final Fantasy VII Remake - "Development is going better than expected"
The Famitsu is a weekly Japanese video game magazine that still has a circulation of 500,000 even in the age of the Internet. Tetsuya Nomura, the game director for the Final Fantasy VII Remake, said in an interview:
- "We're trying to figure out when we will put out the next news release."
- "Production is going well."
- “The scenario will also delve into the members of Avalanche.”
- "[Development] is moving along more than expected, so please wait for the next news release with peace of mind."
- "The direction was pretty much decided upon before we changed to internal development, and production is going well."
- "While preserving the atmosphere of the original, the scenario will dig deeper into the characters, including members of Avalanche."
Translation:
- "We are currently thinking about when we will publish the next news."
- "The production is going well."
- "The scenario will delve deeper into the members of Avalanche."
- (Avalanche is the ecoterrorist organization that fights against Shin-Ra and that we or our protagonist Cloud belongs to / joins.)
- "Development is progressing faster than expected, please wait (the fans) for our next news release, there is nothing to worry about."
- "The direction was already decided before we switched to the internal development team and the project is going well."
- "While we try to keep the feel and atmosphere of the original, the new scenario will focus more on the characters and also on the members of Avalanche."
This is not the in-depth information about the gameplay and specific design decisions or even a trailer, but it at least lets you sleep soundly. The absent presentations on Final Fantasy VII at E3 already caused concern among fans that there would be serious difficulties.
The Final Fantasy VII Remake will be for the PlayStation 4 appear and should be split into 3 parts.
