"High and explosive" is the name of the new time-limited mode for Fortnite, which will be introduced with Patch V.5.10. Overview
This mode combines the spectacular fun of the high-explosive limited-time mode and the jetpack that has been removed from the game. Rise to lofty heights and explosively transport your opponents back to the lobby!
Mode details
- Only explosive weapons can be found in this mode.
- Jetpacks occasionally appear at spawn points for ground loot.
- The high and explosive jetpacks have higher fuel regeneration and lower fuel consumption compared to standard jetpacks so that pilots can stay in the air for a little longer.
- The waiting times between eyes of the storm have been reduced as players need less time to find appropriate prey (average game time should be less than 20 minutes).
- Missile ammunition was limited to 120.
- Profile statistics (kills / deaths and wins) are recorded in this mode.

What's new?
- The jetpack, which was removed from the game in an earlier version, can be used again for the duration of the time-limited "High and Explosive" mode.
- The guided missile is back in the game.
- Consumable healing items will spawn normally again, as drinking jugs and shield potions will now spawn less.
- Associations have been removed from the game.
- This means that items with a higher chance now also spawn, which completely fill up the stamina and shields.

- Explosions now damage buildings regardless of line of sight.
- Guided missiles can also be controlled from the keyboard using the standard movement keys.
Bug fixes
- The issues with slurp juice have been fixed and the item can now be looted in-game again.
