The next two death knight cards for that Hearthstone Expansion Knights of the Frozen Throne were introduced and you can say with a clear conscience: The apocalypse is near!

But let's start with the Druid Death Knight card:

The Malfurion, corrupted by the Lich King, now fights with infested animals that have been changed by evil just like him. Typically for druids, the player has 2 effects to choose from when playing the death knight card.

Summons 2 poisonous 1/2 spiders or two 1/5 scarabs with mockery.

The hero ability newly granted him also offers 2 effects to choose from. Instead of getting + 1 / + 1 as before, the player can choose between +3 attack or +3 armor for this turn.

This rather strong hero ability pales next to the paladin death knight: Uther of the black blade.

His battle cry gives him a 5/3 life siphon weapon. Together with the 5 points of armor, we are talking about almost 20 life points that he gains.

The 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse in Hearthstone

His new hero ability now summons 2/2 horsemen / riders. The 4 horsemen of the apocalypse are perhaps still known to some from Naxxramas. If the player in Hearthstone manages to summon all 4 riders onto the field at the same time, the apocalypse threatens. Fortunately only for the enemy, because the effect that is triggered destroys the enemy hero.

Even if this sounds quite "overpowered", it means that the opponent did not manage to destroy a 2/2 servant over 3 moves, which is rarely the case. But we can look forward to what ideas the deck builders come up with to protect their riders.

In any case, the death knight cards bring a new wind to Hearthstone.
