Akali is back after being long out of the League of Legends The spotlight was gone, and not just because of its invisibility. With a new Champion Spotlight Video, Riot presents us today with the revised Akali.
AKALI - The rebellious assassin in League of Legends
Akali goes fully in her role as Assassin and Ninja on:
“When Akali left the Kinkou Order, she developed her fighting technique beyond Shen's teachings. Instead of killing their opponents at close range with swinging kamas, Ionia's rebellious assassin is always on the move and instantly distributes targeted attacks before she retreats into the shadows. ”Source: Riot
Here are Akali's new abilities:
PASSIVE: Mark of the Assassin
When Akali deals damage to a champion with an ability, it creates a dragon ring around him. While the ring is forming, Akali gains extra walking pace as she walks in its direction. As soon as she enters the ring, Akali again gains additional movement speed when she runs towards the enemy.
If she steps over the edge of the ring, she amplifies her kama, increasing both the range and damage of her next attack. This attack also restores a small amount of energy.
Q: Five point attack
Akali throws five kunai in a tight arc, dealing damage to enemies in front of her and slowing those farthest away.
If she uses the ability when she has almost maximum energy, Akali heals herself for a percentage of the damage.
At rank 5, “Five Point Assault” deals additional damage to minions and monsters.
W: Twilight Veil
Akali restores energy and creates a cloud of smoke that slowly spreads in a ring-shaped area. While in the smoke, Akali is hidden and benefits from increased walking pace.
As long as it is hidden, Akali is cloaked and cannot be revealed or targeted by abilities or attacks (including towers).
Akali can leave the smoke a couple of times to extend the duration of Twilight Veil a little.
E: Shuriken somersault
Akali does a backflip and throws a shuriken forward, dealing damage to and marking the first enemy hit. The Shuriken can also hit and mark the smoke from "Twilight Veil".
Akali can reactivate Shuriken Salto to jump to the marked target. In doing so, it causes damage to all enemies it passes.
R: Perfect execution
Akali jumps up to two times with a slight delay between jumps. The first jump deals normal damage and stuns briefly, while the second jump deals magical damage based on the enemy's lack of health.
The new twilight veil is particularly interesting, as it now offers complete invisibility under towers. Positioning has become more important for this, as the area of invisibility is now ring-shaped and a “hole” is created in the middle.
In addition, the energy management is even more important in battles in order to regenerate life through the bonus effect of the Q ability. She can also hold out in lane for a long time. At the latest with a Hextech revolver it should hardly be possible to push you out of the lane with poke / burin attacks. Even if assassins have just disappeared a bit in professional matches at the moment, the Akali revision could perhaps herald a small renaissance.
Besides the Information on revision skills there is also a fresh background story for modern Akali. Due to the connection between the two, Shen can also look forward to a new entry in the League of Legends universe.
