Free riot points for League of Legends sound like a fairy tale? Are you too.
Countless scam sites are circulating on the Internet that promise riot points, but they all have one thing in common, they are fraudsters who want to get your passwords and login data.
Riot customer service has hundreds of times a day needing to help players who fell for such sites and lost their accounts. With a little video about the naive Tristana and her experience with Warwick the account thief, they try to draw attention to the problem in an amusing way.
League of Legends Support never asks for your login details!
Riot will NEVER ask for your password, even if it is official customer service. This is not only valid for Riot and League of Legends, but for every customer service, be it Microsoft, Amazon or your bank, at no point will someone ask for your password. If there is a link to log in in an email, in 99% it is a so-called phishing attempt to get your login data.
Always checks the sender of suspicious emails, usually you can recognize them by typing errors or that the URL is incorrect. To be on the safe side, always go through the official homepages and not through any links in the emails.
So please never fall for such "free" riot points or similar promotions, because they cost a lot, mostly your League of Legends account. In cases like your email or bank accounts, it can even ruin you.
