The next Path of Exile Extension War for the Atlas comes as early as December and under the announced new features were also 50 new unique items.
One thing quickly came into focus for the community: The Hungry Loop
The ring with a socket has an unprecedented property, it eats skill gems / gemstones.
As soon as a gem is socketed into the ring and reaches its maximum level, the ring consumes the stone and the effect. It does not matter whether it is an Empower Gem that only has 3 levels, when reaching level 3 it is consumed. It is also possible to insert a level 19 gem that only needs 1 experience point in the ring and complete the level. The only thing that is difficult to digest is corrupt, i.e. corrupted gemstones that have reached a level above 20.
Path of Exile - The Hungry Ring
This goes to 4x, so the Hungry Loop ultimately offers one 5 link at. Because the last gem that is socketed into the ring then has the bonuses of the 4 consumed stones
What you have to pay attention to is the combination of gems, it has to be chosen like in a normal object. For example: Trigger Gem + Support + Support + Support. 2x triggers wouldn't work.
The War for the Atlas expansion for Path of Exile appears December 8, 2017 and offers a revised endgame, new skill gems, 50 new unique items and new bosses.
