The announcement of a Resident Evil 2 Remakes caused excitement among the fans tonight. One of the best parts of the series is getting a contemporary revision in the modern RE Engine from Capcom.
Unlike the Dark Souls Remaster in the recent past, which received only minimal improvements, is Resident Evil 2 completely renewed. As Capcom announced, the game will be completely rebuilt from scratch. The RE engine used for this was also used in the latest part of the series Resident Evil 7 for use.
RE2 should redefine the survival horror genre and convince with new approaches, breathtaking graphics, new sound, improved cameras and contemporary controls

In addition to all the technical promises, the first appearance of Leon Kennedy in the trailer for cheers. Also Claire Redfield was shown in the new graphics and it was a pleasure for the fans to see "old" heroes not only as a PS2 pixel cluster.
The story remains true to itself, again we boot with Leon and Claire through the devastated Raccoon City and defend ourselves against zombies. We are initially looking for a way out of the catastrophe, but gradually discover more and more of the background.
The Resident Evil 2 Remake will appear on January 25, 2018. The trailer shown was based on the PlayStation 4 version. It has not yet been announced whether there will be further versions. The one based on the same RE Engine Resident Evil 7 was implemented for PC and Xbox One. It is therefore to be expected that the developers will use the experience they have gained in the implementation and also publish the remake on other platforms.
