One of the hits of the last few years was undisputed Shovel Knight, the Metroidvania Jump'N'Run adventure in retro graphics. After several DLCs the last update comes and brings a multiplayer PvP mode.
For owners of the Shovel Knight Treasure Trove the Showdown Update is free, if you only buy this DLC you have to pay 9.99$. For this you get the duel mode for up to 4 players and the complete selection of all key heroes and villains from Shovel Knight. Many of them are playable for the first time. Over 16 playable characters come together such as: Shovel Knight, Shield Knight, Black Knight, The Enchantress and all Knights of the Order of No Quarter.

You can choose between 1 vs. Beat 1 duels with your friends or action-packed 4 players everyone-against-everyone start. There will even be team battles against AI opponents or human players in the new game modes such as Gem Clash and Showdown.
The new story mode lets you play through several levels specially composed for each character. In order to be able to survive better here, there is also a new practice mode in which you can train all skills extensively.
Of course, Shovel Knight Showdown will appear on all systems on which the game is available:
Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Wii U, Sony PlayStation 4, Sony PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PC and even on Mac, Linux and Amazon FireTV.
