Besides the announcement too Jurassic World Evolution, the cinematic trailer for Assassin's Creed: Origins was shown at the Microsoft press conference for gamescom 2017. Movie-ready trailers are almost standard these days, but this one once again made a lot more fun for the title, which will be released in October.
Assassin's Creed: Origins with Caesar and Cleopatra
With the appearances of Cleopatra and Julius Caesar in the trailer, it is now clear in which epoch the game takes place. The previous statement “ancient Egypt” was a bit vague. Now you can look forward to a meeting with the charismatic leader and the political confusion and intrigues that entered Egypt with the Roman Empire offer the ideal environment for an assassin.
Bayek was announced as the protagonist in June. His story will play the central role and lead to the foundation of the Assassin Brotherhood.
Further changes that are known so far:
- The missing minimap that has been replaced by a compass
- An RPG-heavy skill system
- Dynamic world
- A whole series of side quests that should go beyond boring collecting tasks.
- Camel riding and diving
The scene in the video when the assassin pulls the arrow out of his shield and shoots back is by the way no artistic freedom. The revised combat system supports such actions that are used in the game.
Assassin's Creed: Origins is distributed by Ubisoft and will be released on October 27 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
