The freshly released replay system in Epic's Battle Royale Shooter Fortnite, will be used for a competition.
The Repeat function is not just a simple recording, but also allows various possibilities to change the video and make it cooler. So you can increase or slow down the speed, change the perspective, select different players and even adjust the speed of your player camera.
This is all very easy thanks to the clear interface and everyone is invited to put together and send in their coolest video. Only your own game scenes may be used. The competition runs from April 13 to April 27, 2018.
For the winners, there are some cool prizes such as hardware from Alienware, Fortnite fan articles or V-Bucks. The video from the developer above shows some of the possibilities, a text explanation of the replay function can be found on the Fortnite homepage.

Fortnite's new repeat feature is now in the game, and we're so excited that you can finally try it out. For this occasion, we would like to call you all on deck: We want to know what you can achieve with the sleek, new function. Show us your Battle Royale highlights in a video!

Evaluation criteria
When evaluating, we pay attention to these three criteria:
- Mastery
- Was it evident in the video that you mastered the repeat function well?
- Did you use the different possibilities of the repeat function (exposure, aperture, etc.)?
- Was your video mainly created with the repeat function?
- creativity
- Does your highlight video portray the game in a creative or innovative way?
- Fortnite temperance
- How well does your highlight video reflect the flair of Fortnite Battle Royale?
Submissions must be videos that are between 60 and 90 seconds long. You can participate with your highlight video by entering the metadata and description of your YouTube video #ReplayRoyale inserts.
