The newest Fortnite Patch 3.5 brings some cool new features, especially this one Repetition system for the battle royale makes the fans happy. The film function allows you to save your matches and watch them from different perspectives and angles.

In addition, there are new items such as the pocket fortress and 4 cyberpunk heroes and neon weapons for Save the World.

Fortnite 3.5 patch notes

General

  • Wood, stone and metal resources are now always first in the inventory list (instead of traps, for example).
  • Purchased V-Bucks are now available across systems (Xbox One, PC and mobile device).
  • Improvements to the login queue:
    • During the waiting period, your position in the queue will now be saved when you exit the game and come back later.
    • On mobile devices, you will only be placed in the login queue once per login attempt.
    • With two-factor authentication requests, you no longer end up in the login queue.

Bug fixes

  • The layout of the login screen has been adjusted to better support the various screen sizes and safe zones.
  • Fixed a rare crash when logging out.
  • Fixed an issue where players on PS4 would be kicked out of the group after a game when playing with players on other platforms.
  • Fixed an issue where Survivor and Hero units would be locked after switching from Save the World to Battle Royale.
  • Fixed an issue where Xbox buttons would appear on PC even after using a PS4 controller even after changing controller type in settings.
  • Fixed rare bugs where character parts were stretched unnaturally.

Repetition system

  • Save your games and watch them from every angle!

Weapons and objects

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where weapons would float in mid-air after a quick item switch under certain network conditions.
  • Bug fixes for guided missiles:
    • If a player who has gone down is eliminated with a guided missile, it no longer counts as self-elimination.
    • Picking up an item while a guided missile is being launched will no longer cause the picked up item to disappear.
    • Firing a guided missile just before the victory screen is displayed no longer prevents the player from being able to return to the lobby.
    • Players will now properly see the player who eliminated them instead of their own active missile.
    • When a player is being watched, the camera will now follow the missile rather than the player.
    • Fixed an issue where a player would have to watch a floating guided missile on the launch island if they were killed by a missile during the game.
    • Fixed an issue where a player could not fire a guided missile while riding a guided missile himself.
    • Fixed an issue where the player's nameplate would appear over a guided missile while piloting it.

Gameplay

  • Limited time mode: 50V50 2.0
    • Two teams of 50 players each fight for victory!
      • Since this is a “large team” mode, profile statistics are not recorded. Daily and weekly challenges can be completed in this mode, with the exception of team-related challenges (“Get in the top 6 on the team” etc.).
    • Storm and map
      • Each team reaches the island from opposite sides by bus. On the map, your own bus has a blue silhouette and the enemy bus has a red silhouette.
      • The final storm circle is visible on the minimap right from the start.
      • Players have 10 minutes to scan the map for loot before the storm approaches the circle, then 5 minutes to fight, and another 5 minutes for the storm to shrink and disappear.
      • There are always 3–6 supplies falling from heaven every 2 minutes. They also only land in the final storm circle.
      • A dashed line has been added to the map to symbolize the "battle lines" between the two teams. If you cross this line, you run an increased risk of meeting an opponent.
    • prey
      • The resource collection has been increased by 75 % compared to the default.
      • Ground loot chance increased by 15 %.
      • There is now twice the amount of ammunition in ground loot.
      • Ammunition boxes now contain three times the amount of ammunition.
      • Chests now have twice the amount of ammunition and consumables.
      • Supply drops now contain twice the amount of ammunition, plus an additional consumable, an additional resource and an additional trap.
    • Bug fixes and improvements to modes
      • Fixed an issue where unequal teams were put together and a side had more than 50 players.
      • Players who have fallen to the ground lose stamina faster than normal (10 stamina per tick).
  • New key assignment "Baumeister Pro"
    • This key assignment is similar to "Kampf Pro", but has been optimized for the quick placement of building parts.
    • Walls, floors, stairs and roofs have been assigned their own buttons on the controller.
    • The first time you press the button, the assigned part of the building is called up; each subsequent button press places the part in the game world.
    • With the left control pad you can switch between materials and traps.
  • New team voice chat wheel
    • You can use it to communicate quickly with each other even without voice chat.
    • The following calls are currently available:
      Enemy Spotted, Required Healing, Required Shields, Required Materials, Required Weapon (context sensitive) and Required Ammunition (required context dependent).
    • By default on the "V" key, right control pad on the controller or in the emote menu on mobile devices.
  • The pouch can now be opened by destruction as well as interaction.
  • Friendly traps have been given a blue tinge to distinguish them from enemy traps.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from editing their own buildings.
  • Bug fixes for supply deliveries:
    • Fixed an issue where, in rare cases, players would not be able to open supply shipments.
    • Fixed an issue where supply shipments would flutter when dropped if a player destroyed the object they landed on.
    • Fixed an issue where loot from a supply shipment would spawn in midair after the shipment was shot out of the sky.
    • Fixed an issue where players would be squeezed under the map when standing under a falling supply shipment.
    • Fixed an issue where players would be kicked off the map after landing on a supply ship.
  • A problem has been fixed where buildings could not be erected for up to 3 seconds at a time if the network connection was poor.
  • Fixed an issue where controllers would start vibrating during the skydive phase when vending machines were placed in the world.
  • Fixed an issue where the health bars of buildings would be hidden when the player aimed their weapon.
  • Fixed an issue where aiming with the aiming sight could not restore the previous state after reloading.
  • Fixed an issue where a poor network connection could result in buildings not being displayed.
  • Fixed an issue where the same combination of banner icon and banner color could not be selected in Battle Royale as in Save the World.

Audio

  • The following weapons have received unique sound effects for equipping and reloading (unchanged for all other weapons):
    • Epic / Legendary Assault Rifle
    • Heavy shotgun
    • Pump gun
    • Sniper with repeater
    • Hunting rifle
  • The tactical submachine gun firing sounds have more variety now.
  • The shooting sounds of the epic / legendary medium range assault rifle now have more variety.

Bug fixes

  • The second sound effect for inserting the magazine during the reload animation of the grenade launcher has been removed.

user interface

  • The download and patch sizes have been reduced for players who do not have access to Save the World (PC only).

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the controller button label for Turn Card On / Off was not displayed after being eliminated.
  • Fixed an issue in the locker where the passing on the go would appear without the proper animation.
  • Text that was too small on the minimap has been enlarged.
  • Fixed an issue where the map marker would not stay in position when zooming in / out.
  • Fixed an issue where map markers would not be placed at the cursor when the map was zoomed in.
  • The controller's analog stick can now be used to scroll the map while it is zoomed in.
  • Fixed an issue where the number of eliminated players would show as zero when a guided missile was observed.

Graphics and animations

  • The pop-in animation for objects has been redesigned so that objects are slowly visible instead of suddenly.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue with inconsistent battle bus position changes that occurred every few seconds.
  • The problem with the "Rock, Rock, Paper" emote has been fixed. It should now work correctly in the lobby.
  • Fixed an issue where the Rainbow Force and Sugar Hoe harvesting tools were not always activating.
  • Fixed an issue with the guided missile launch animation. It will now play correctly when watching the player who fired the weapon.
  • The size of the oversized mushrooms has been reduced.

performance

  • Fixed several issues where the game would hang or stutter when loading resources, especially on consoles. These resources will now be loaded before the game starts.
  • The servers have been optimized to reduce the latency when firing weapons and hits your own character.

Mobile devices

  • Noise indicators are no longer displayed for silenced weapons, steps of crouched characters, and friendly pickaxes.
  • The graphics of the sky, vegetation and anti-aliasing have been revised.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where command entry would not stop even though the screen was no longer touched.
  • Fixed an issue where the message was not displayed stating that root / jailbroken devices are not supported.
    • Anyone who plays with a device that has been rooted / jailbroken must expect that they will be removed from the server.
  • Fixed issues with various interactions such as:
    • Icons did not display properly on underperforming devices.
    • Supply deliveries could not be opened.
    • Doors didn't always open and close immediately.
    • The map could not be zoomed and moved.
    • Sometimes accidental keystrokes occurred.
  • Fixed an issue where the ammunition for the revolver and grenade launcher was floating outside the weapon.

Gameplay

  • Ranged weapons can now deal environmental damage.
    • The percentage of damage to the environment depends on the weapon.
    • The environmental damage scaling for ranged weapons should remain consistent relative to the condition of the environment, taking into account the rarity and modifications of the weapon.
      • NOTE: Environmental damage only increases with level and rarity and is not multiplied by attack.
    • Ranged weapons cannot damage buildings that you or your team have built.
  • [Revision] Explorer fragment
    • With the exception of the Bag Lama, fragment skills no longer require equipped fragment ammunition to be activated.
    • Fragment skills now have a cooldown and energy cost like other skills.
    • Fragment skills will now be enhanced if the explorer uses Fragment Ammo on activation.
    • The fragment ammunition capacity has been increased dramatically.
  • [Revision] Melee weapons and surroundings
    • Melee weapons (except pickaxes) can no longer damage buildings that you or your team have built. In addition, their environmental damage has been increased.
    • The environmental damage scaling for melee weapons should now feel more consistent, relative to the condition of the environment.
      • NOTE: Environmental damage only increases with level and rarity, and is not multiplied by attack.
    • Axes do increased damage to wood. Metal weapons do increased damage against stone. Swords, clubs and spears no longer cause damage to any type of material.
  • [Revision] anomaly
    • Anomaly rewards have been increased, BluGlo changed to mission rewards.
    • Anomaly Shards take full damage from the pickaxe and reduced damage from other melee weapons. They no longer suffer damage from projectiles (throwing stars, rockets, etc.).
  • Crafting list size increased from 10 to 20 (meaning 1 in production and 19 pending).
  • Crackling campfire no longer grants device score for healings and instead gives more for trap placement.
  • Fall damage has been adjusted to take damage at greater heights.
    • Players now only take damage after more than 1300 fallen units, instead of 850.
      • (Example) It is now possible to walk off a three-story building without damage, but not to jump down.
    • Original fall damage was from 5 % of the max. Condition to 10 % of the max. Condition increased.
    • The next damage threshold is now at 20 % of the max. Condition with 3 tiles.
    • The next damage threshold is now 50 % of the max. Condition with 3.75 tiles.
    • The next damage threshold is now go down at 4.5 tiles.
      • Anything over 4.5 tiles also brings the player to the ground.
    • Enemy fall damage has been adjusted to reflect these changes.
  • The vehicles that Survivors are standing on no longer take damage from ranged or melee weapons.
    • Only the pickaxe can harm them.
  • Stack size and maximum carrying capacity of wood, stone and metal has been increased.
    • The standard capacity of building resources has been increased from 999 to 2,000.
    • Building resource capacity nodes have replaced the previously existing weapon skill nodes in the skills tree. These new nodes allow players to increase their carrying capacity for resources by 1,000 per piece up to max. 5,000 improve per type.
      • Weapon skills no longer have a maximum since V.3.3, so we could remove and repurpose their nodes in the skill tree. So don't worry, your ability to use weapons of all levels remains unchanged! - Developer's comment
    • Existing items will not automatically re-stack.
    • Stacks can be concentrated by dropping and picking up items or transferring them between the backpack and storage.
  • Improvements in the economy
    • Hero and Sketch Quest EXP increased from Stonewood to the middle of Plankerton.
    • Players who have already completed these missions will receive the difference.
  • Challenge missions have been expanded to 20 phases.
    • The “No One Left Behind” challenge now gives Survivor XP based on stage.
    • Players who have completed Phases 1-10 of this quest series will receive Survivor XP.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue that resulted in long delays when joining a group for the first time (PS4).
  • Fixed an issue where BluGlo pylons could spawn on top of each other.
  • The buff from BluGlo pylons is no longer lost after 10 minutes.
  • Fixed an issue where players would pick up items much more slowly than usual.

Missions + systems

  • New series of orders: Advance into the storm: the opening act
    • Join Lars and Ray on their journey into Lars' past in the brand new series of assignments "Advance into the Storm"!
    • All new Survive the Storm Map - Thunder Route 99

    • The Advancing Storm Llama is available in the Loot tab.
      • Cost: 1,000 storm tickets
      • The Event Llama guarantees at least one neon weapon or cyberpunk hero of the rarity Epic (or higher)
      • Every 1,000 firefrog tickets are converted into a spring llama.
    • Mission rewards:
      • A legendary neon ranged weapon of choice (pistol, shotgun, assault rifle).
  • Survive the storm returns!
    • Improved rewards.
      • Spring storm-Gold has been added, staggered by difficulty and days completed.
      • Hero, Sketch, and Survivor XP earned have been increased.
        • Further increases the higher the difficulty and the more days have been completed.
      • The rarity of the items (survivors, sketches, conversion keys, etc.) that are dropped in survival mode has been increased, especially on higher difficulties.
        • The amount of low rarity items that are dropped has been reduced.
    • Mission Alerts give between 300 and 1,500 tickets based on difficulty and how long you survived.
      • Quote: Three three day survival modes every 24 hours.
      • Quote: A seven day survival mode every 24 hours.
    • Sidequests with new banner rewards have been added!
      • Banner with “Strength 15 Event” theme + 1,000 storm tickets.

      • Mutant storms are more active during this event and give 100 to 240 storm tickets depending on the difficulty.
        • Quota: 10 every 24 hours.
      • Repeatable quest to complete 2 Mutant Storm missions that will give 100 Spring Storm Gold.
    • Boost through adjusted difficulty and group missions do not give tickets during this event.
  • Miniboss mission alarms can no longer be selected if the mission the alarm belongs to has not yet been unlocked.
    • This will prevent low level players from attempting mission alerts that are too difficult for them unless they are invited into a group by a higher level friend.
  • Impersonator Reward Updates:
    • Imitators always give a reward equivalent to a level 3 (blue) treasure chest.
    • Some impersonators instead give a reward equivalent to a level 4 (purple) treasure chest.
  • Adjustments to "Evacuate the protective bunker":
    • In missions that are not intended for groups, the number of enemies that must be killed after reaching the protective bunker has been reduced to 10 per player in the zone (instead of 35).
    • The last stand in missions that are not intended for groups has been reduced from 8 to 6 minutes.
  • Adjustments to "Repair the shelter":
    • Glotz-Bot will no longer be attacked on arrival.
      • Glotz-Bot now arrives with a 5-minute counter. After 5 minutes, it disappears to recharge and later return to another location on the map.
      • The hull attack will now begin when the player places the Glotz-Bot. The Glotz-Bot is safe from that.
      • Players have 5 minutes to start the scan and then defend Glotz-Bot.
    • The hull attack difficulty has been reduced for the first two attacks.
    • The protective bunker now automatically starts a diagnostic scan when the player reaches it without having to interact with it.
      • Lowering the difficulty of the mission and the first battle allows us to focus on the crux of the mission: rescuing an occupied shelter and relieving time pressure. - Developer's comment
    • With the automatic diagnostic scan, the time to the first attack increases to 8:30 minutes after the diagnosis has been completed, which leads to more preparation time (previously 6:30 minutes).
  • Progress in the mission "Air Quotes" now takes place after eliminating the first 25 enemies after activating the storm chest. Previously, all waves of opponents had to be eliminated before the time ran out.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue that caused some players to be locked out of their storm shield.
  • The visual level of reward chests from survival mode missions has been increased (max. Level of the chest appearance is reached in 7 instead of 14 days).

Heroes

  • Cyberpunk Heroes have been added and will be available in the new Lama of the Assault in the Storm event.

        • BASIC rhythm - The BASIS generates energy when enemies die in its area of effect. After 30 kills, the BASE creates an explosion that knocks away nearby hulls and deals damage within 3 tiles.
        • BASIC staccato - Increases the radius of BASIC rhythm by 2 tiles and the damage by 80 %.
      • New tactical advantage:
        • BASIC rhythm - The BASIS generates energy when enemies die in its area of effect. After 30 kills, the BASE creates an explosion that knocks away nearby hulls and deals damage within 3 tiles.
    • TEDDY shooter Jess (new explorer subclass)
      TEDDY shooters: Set up a TEDDY to provide cover as she targets her enemies from a distance.
      • New advantages:
        • Target technique - Increases the rate of fire of sniper rifles by 35 %.
        • Gun skill - Headshot hits accelerate the next reload by 7 % (max. 35 %). Effect is canceled after reloading.
        • Eyes on target - Grants 1 load fragment for every 15 headshot kills.
      • New support benefit:
        • Safe shot - Increases the critical damage of sniper rifles by 35 %, 53 %, 70 %.
  • Explorer
    • Electric shock tower
      • No longer requires a fragment to operate.
      • Cooldown has been set to 60 seconds.
      • Endurance cost has been set at 50.
      • Using a fragment reduces the cooldown time by 30 % and the stamina costs to 0.
      • Damage was not adjusted.
    • TEDDY
      • No longer requires a fragment to operate.
      • Cooldown has been set to 60 seconds.

      • Receiving a Llama Fragment will now immediately reset the cooldowns of all Fragment Abilities.
  • Constructor:
    • Recycling
      • The maximum storage capacity for BASIS recycling has been increased from 150 to 450.
    • Parallel processing
      • The maximum storage capacity of the BASIS parallel processing has been increased from 300 to 900.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a problem where the current “IFF Coding” function was not displayed in the “Plasmapuls” tooltip.
  • Fixed an issue where the Energized support bonus from Fragment Chaos Jess and Shamrock Warriors was not properly aligned with multiple star levels.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented ninjas from colliding with heroes and enemies in Dragon Slasher.
  • Fixed an issue where Bait would not take damage from hulls.
  • Fixed an issue where Praying Mantis Leap would stack infinite speed.

Weapons and objects

  • Neon Weapon Set has been added and is available in the new Lama of the Assault Assault event.
    • Long-range weapons:

    • Knock-off distance against opponents has been doubled.
    • Allies are no longer affected.
  • Eggs from the Easter Egg Launcher will no longer explode when a player goes down, but will be removed when a player respawns or disconnects.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the collector's crystal melee weapons had the same durability as the collector's ore melee weapons.
  • Fixed an issue where tube electron spear and ax would not stun enemies but knock them away.
  • Dragon Force Shotgun projectiles no longer ricochet off deep water.
  • Fixed an issue where the Dragon's Power shotgun projectiles would not explode when in contact with enemies.
  • Traces of fire from other players' single-shot weapons no longer wander through walls.
  • Fixed an issue where the Boost Trap would give more resources than expected when recycling.

user interface

  • The option to display a collection marker on items in weapon storage menus has been added.
  • A tooltip for volume settings for movie clips has been added to the audio settings tab.
  • Items in the armory with no values no longer show a value field.
  • The word “vault” has been replaced by “weapon storage” in the skill tree nodes.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where players would see the message “Building cannot be edited” when using the “Combat Pro” button bindings when pressing the button to use the hoverboard.
  • Fixed an issue where the "Place Trap" icon was missing when using the "Combat Pro" key bindings.
  • Reward summaries will no longer appear once they are off-screen.
  • Fixed an issue where the damage display for traps that deal elemental damage was not showing what type of elemental damage was done.
    • The descriptions of electrical wall and ceiling traps have been supplemented by the elements of elemental damage.
  • A misspelling in the description of the Mythical Berserker Wukong has been corrected (English version).
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from choosing options (mute, add friend, etc.) in chat.
  • Fixed an issue where the camera would jump when zooming in on any level of the skill tree.
