After the futuristic offshoot, a new part of the Anno series is coming to coincide with the 20th anniversary. Anno 1800 takes place in the age of the industrial revolution and thus offers something more down-to-earth food again.
In the new part of the popular series, the developers at Blue Byte Mainz plan to merge the best elements of all Anno games. According to the epoch, the railroad will play a major role in the infrastructure.
Anno 1800 - quintessence of all the good points in the series
One of the first things that strikes you in the trailer is the construction site for the first world exhibition (London, 1851), so the monumental buildings seem to be back. The monumental structures were a very popular feature of Anno 1404. Although the structures were difficult to build and some had several steps, they offered extremely strong bonuses after completion.
In an exclusive first glimpse from the colleagues at Gamestar, the developers gave a few bullet points about the further plans. This includes the strengths that have been adopted and improved from the individual parts of the series.

The Anno series began in 1998 with the first part of Anno 1602. Since then, the developers have regularly been delivering building strategy games in different eras. Anno 1503,1701,1404 until in the last few years with 2070 and 2205 the future was chosen as the epoch. Unfortunately, the parts set in the future were less popular with fans and critics. So that a return to the classic values with Anno 1800 gives hope for a successful reboot of the series.
Anno 1800 is still in the early stages of development and the release is not planned until next winter.
