BioShock - possible sequel in the works?

BioShock Infinite

After BioShock Infinite it had become quiet around the popular action series. Publisher 2k held back completely with possible plans for another part of the series. But a staff change gives the fans new hope. With Shawn Elliott one of the leading figures in BioShock Infinite design returns to the Publisher 2Kwhere he's working on a previously secret project.

BioShock - Level Designer returns as Combat Designer

This information is based on its recently updated LinkedIn Profile where the previous employer switched from Arkane Studios to 2K. The position there is “Principle Combat Designer”, roughly the designer of the combat system.

After a job posting for BioShock franchise at 2K, which fueled the rumor mill a few months ago, the return of Shawn Elliott makes fans' hearts beat faster.

5 years have passed since the last part of the cult series was published. Bioshock Infinite provided a somewhat controversial story with alternative timelines and parallel worlds that was not to everyone's taste. However, almost all players and critics agreed that the main characters Booker DeWitt (voiced by Troy Baker) and Elizabeth (Courtnee Draper) made the game a great experience. The DLCs in particular were hardly lacking in emotionality and brought the game to a conciliatory conclusion.

For a possible new installment in the series, however, new main characters can be expected, as the story of Book DeWitt is definitely over. The only hope left for the fans at the moment is that the studio will soon be ready to make an announcement and that the secrecy will come to an end.
