Developer Blizzard updated the official BlizzCon 2017 page today. This year's Blizzcon will take place on November 3rd and 4th in Anaheim, USA.
The coveted tickets will be available on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 7pm Pacific Time and on Saturday, April 8th from 10am Pacific Time.
For our time zone in Germany, this would be Thursday, April 6th from 4 a.m., and Saturday, April 8th from 7 p.m.
The price for a ticket is 199$ plus taxes and fees, there is a maximum of 4 tickets per buyer.
In return you get the BlizzCon badge, which grants you access to the fair, as well as one of the famous "goody bags", full of exclusive merchandise items. You will also receive a BlizzCon Virtual Ticket and the associated in-game goodies for the various Blizzard games.
If you like it a bit more expensive, you can order a ticket for the benefit dinner on November 2nd, which then costs 750$. The benefit dinner will be held in aid of the Orange County's Children's Hospital and will be an opportunity to chat with game developers, artists and other Blizzard employees over good food.
BlizzCon 2017? What is that?
Games developer Blizzard has been organizing its own trade fair for years. There, all the news about current and future Blizzard titles will be shown over two days. In addition, there are lectures in which developers of the individual games reveal details and often answer questions from the audience. There are also cosplay competitions, eSports tournaments, opportunities for auditioning, etc. ect.
In contrast to typical trade fairs, it is also an opportunity for Blizzard and its employees to get in direct contact with the fans and celebrate together every year. At the end there is a big live show where Metallica, Linkin Park and "Weird Al" Yankovic have performed and heated up the crowd.
The tickets are limited to around 25,000 and always sell out in seconds. So if you want to go there yourself, you have to be nimble or be content with the virtual ticket and the live stream
