In a Twitch livestream, Creative Director Joel Bylos and Community Manager Jens Erik Vaaler commented on the future of their survival title Conan Exiles. The two developers at Funcom answered questions from the Conan Exiles community.
New features for Conan Exiles
If you think of Arnold with his huge two-handed sword when you think of Conan, the barbarian, you can look forward to two-handed swords very soon implemented. When exactly was unfortunately not revealed. Let's hope that the iconic weapons will find their way into the game as quickly as possible.
Many other points were raised during the live stream:
- Clan updates should come before the siege update
- New options for coloring. It should also be possible to color weapons, shields and even buildings can be painted.
- A faster descent system from great heights is being developed.
- Model updates: feet should be displayed more realistically and better.
- Two-handed axes should follow the promised two-handed swords. With that, the barbarian tools are almost complete.
- Successful blocking with a shield is intended to trigger an animation and unbalance the blocked attacker so that he is open to a counterattack.
- The popular children's game “Reise nach Jerusalem” will soon also be possible in Conan Exiles: the function of sitting on someone else's chairs will be built in.
- Players who have an avatar token will be visible on the map with the update.
The barbarian survival game in the world of Robert E. Howards is currently available as Early Access on Steam. Console owners are also not left out. A Playstation 4 version is planned for early 2018. A little earlier, around autumn 2017, the title will appear as a preview version for the Xbox One.
