Destiny 2 - system requirements and sales figures

Destiny 2

The wait will soon be over, then it's finally the 24th and Christmas Day… much earlier Destiny 2 for the PC is just around the corner. The fans had to hold out for almost 2 months while the console players have been busy playing since September 6th.

Meanwhile has Bungie also announced the final system requirements. In comparison to the requirements mentioned in the beta, not much has changed. Thus, an average gaming PC should have enough power to play the 2nd chapter of the Destiny saga.

Here are the requirements for Destiny 2:

Destiny 2 - Fewer copies sold than its predecessor

First analyst statements suggest that Destiny 2 has sold significantly worse in the same period as its predecessor. In the case of physical sales (i.e. the packs in stores), it should even be up to 40% be less.

The fact that digital sales have increased following the general trend will not be enough to make up for this slump.

Perhaps the developers' secret hope that many fans would buy the game twice (console + PC later) didn't work out. At least Bungie has been implicated in such an intention by many players. According to the developers' statement, the additional time was needed and used to optimize the PC version as well as possible and to make better use of the hardware. We'll see what the response for Destiny looks like on the PC next week.

Destiny 2 has been available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One since September 6th. The release for PC will be on October 24th at 7pm.
