The Diablo 3 patch 2.6.1 It's getting closer and closer and the developers have published a blog with the biggest changes and the reasons behind them.
Revised class sets
One of the big balance goals of the patch is to bring the different class sets back to one level. This may not be possible everywhere, but at least the biggest discrepancies have hopefully been fixed. This opens up more opportunities for the players to play their favorite class in the coming season instead of the supposed "Meta“Builds.
Some sets like the barbarian set "Raekor's legacy"Or with the demon hunters"Uliana's cunning“Only needed adjustments in the damage figures. With other combos like Whirlwind and Mangle, there are additional changes, such as an extended damage reduction through the set of 4 bonus.
Adapted skills
Some change like the "Limitless"Rune for"Blessed hammer“The Crusaders had to be done to fix performance problems. With very large opponents, the many hammers and hits could result in a drop in performance.
Diablo 2 Veterans theirs Frozen Orb Miss Sorceress can rejoice too. The “Arcane Ball” rune “Frozen Ball” now benefits from the bonuses for power hunger and boldness. The first competitive builds with the ice ball were already on the Diablo 3 test server.
A number of Legendary Items have been improved, the list would get a little too long here. The German PTR patch notes from Blizzard list almost all changes.
Unfortunately, the numbers are not completely up-to-date because Blizzard, the smaller PTR updates only on the English side. In the last patch, for example, some numbers were adjusted:

- Seeker: 1500% -> 2000%
Necromancer
- Pestilence: Bone Spear: 4000% -> 3300%; Corpse Lance: 2000% -> 1650%
