Final Fantasy XV - multiplayer mode for up to 4 players
For the first time in history, Final Fantasy XV will see players create their own characters and experience epic quests and battles with up to 3 friends.
The multiplayer expansion is entitled "Comrades" (Comrades) and will be released on October 31, 2017. The players slip into the roles of survivors of the Kingsglaive Guard. During the phase of the game in Chapter 13, when Prince Noctis is considered missing.
The world is engulfed in darkness and the last members of the Kingsglaive use their remaining powers to fight for the light. Thanks to these heroic deeds, hope is kept alive and Prince Noctis is given the chance to continue the fight against the demons.
In teams of four players face tactically challenging battles while they try to solve the quests and tasks. But there will also be quests for single players to improve their characters when there are no friends online to play together.
According to the experience reports from the beta phase in August, Square Enix has successfully implemented the gameplay on several players. It is not yet known whether the online functionality will be available from the start in the upcoming PC version of Final Fantasy XV.
The expansion for Final Fantasy XV will of course be free for Season Pass owners. To play online, a subscription to the Xbox Live Gold Service is required on the Xbox One.
October 31, 2017 has been announced as the publication date. Final Fantasy XV is currently only available on consoles (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One). A PC implementation is announced for the beginning of 2018.
