Fortnite According to the developers' plans, patch 2.3.0 should be released on January 25th, ending the winter event in save the world Mode. Unfortunately, this does not save the world because the mutant storms are returning.

Fortnite drinking mug

In order to be able to fight off the enemy masses better, there is the new one Drinking mugthat takes 15 seconds to drink and restores maximum stamina and shields. in the Battle Royale Mode there is now the function for automatic running. The Epic Team also fixed a number of bugs, such as the stacking of the spike traps or campfires that were still displayed as active even though the effect had expired.

Gameplay

  • Automatic running has been added!
    • On the PC the standard key assignments are "=" and "Num".
    • For controllers, it is activated by default by double-clicking the left stick.
  • A setting has been added for consoles that can disable aiming aid.
  • For AZERTY keyboards, the keyboard layout of the weapons has been changed to the upper row of numbers.

Bug fixes

  • Wooden pylons no longer block building.
  • Spike traps from supply deliveries end up on stacks of spike traps found elsewhere.
  • The range of the spike trap effect now better matches the range of the spike animation. The damage area was previously too large.
  • Fixed an issue where the visual effects of the shield potion and slurp juice would not appear if the player already had shields.
  • Fixed an issue where crackling campfires were shown as active even though their effects had already passed.
  • Fixed an issue where the collision with eliminated players would last too long.
  • Fixed an issue where players could hide in supply shipments if the shipment landed on a crouched player.
  • Fixed an issue where players could move through walls while they were editing them.
  • The speed at which players can switch through parts of the building when the internet connection is poor has been optimized.
  • Fixed an issue where dropped items could fall off the edge of the map and reappear near a living player.
  • If a basketball is shot into a goal net, it no longer counts as a goal. This is still the case with footballs.

weapons

Bug fixes

  • The accuracy of grenade throwing paths has been improved.
  • Fixed an issue where players could toggle between two telescopic weapons without leaving the telescopic sight.
  • Players' weapons no longer temporarily disappear when the boogie bomb effect ends.
  • The delay between throwing a grenade and switching weapons has been shortened.

General

  • Shadowplay Highlights now records the moments when players go down.
  • After leaving a match prematurely, you will no longer receive any points for the statistics or challenge progress. Players will only be granted progress if they exit the match after being eliminated or winning.

Bug fixes

  • Players can no longer purchase the Battle Pass 10 Tier Bundle if their Battle Pass Tier is 65 or above.
    • We fixed this on January 19th. The affected players were compensated.
  • Fixed an issue where items in the locker would rotate the wrong axis when spinning.
  • Fixed an issue where Alt-Tab on PC would cause the game to "freeze".
  • When observing, players will now land in the scope view again if the observed player switches between scope weapons instead of landing in the third-person view.
  • Fixed the effects of brick buildings.
  • Players can now mute party members in the lobby screen.
  • Players whose voice chat has been blocked will no longer be able to use it in the lobby screen.

UI

  • The new option "Reject all friend requests" has been added to the friend functions.
    • If this setting is activated, all friend requests are automatically rejected. In addition, all pending friend requests will be rejected.

Bug fixes

  • Friend request and group invitation notifications are now correctly displayed to Battle Royale players, even if they have never played Save the World.
  • If you observe a player who currently has the "Report Player" menu open and calls up the map, its full-screen variant is no longer displayed.
    • This error only occurred when the controller key assignment "Kampf Pro" was used.
  • The circle menu for emotes no longer stays on the screen if it was open when leaving the waiting area.
  • When opening the news function, the character's posture is no longer reset.
  • The ping value in the "Net Debug Stats" window is now more accurate. It is now displayed higher for all players than before.

Audio

  • The volume of the bus music and the noise when jumping off the bus has been reduced.
  • The volume of the wind noise when gliding and free falling has been reduced.
  • The volume of gunshot noises, footsteps and impacts has been reduced for the waiting area.
  • Removed the crowing sound of the Death Valley pickaxe.
  • Some elements of the new pickaxe sounds have been removed as they could be mistaken for the sound of bullets flying close by.

Bug fixes

  • The music of dance emotes no longer overlaps.
  • The sounds of loot chests are no longer muffled by the sound of pickaxes being hit.

world

Bug fixes

  • The missing collision of the junkyard crane has been fixed.
  • Fixed two areas where players could hide under the terrain at the edge of the river.
  • Two loot spawn points have been added to Haunted Hills.
  • Fixed a bug with a section of water in Moisty Mire as it did not slow players down.
  • Fixed an indestructible cart in Shifty Shafts.
  • Fixed an issue where the soccer stadium would sometimes not load properly.
  • Fixed a seam in the terrain near the Flush Factory that allowed players to see through the map.
  • The pillars in Haunted Hills now have collision so players can no longer hide in them.
  • The correct graphic effects are now displayed when scoring a goal in the football stadium.

Patch Notes - Fortnite - Save the World

The Mutant Storm event is back!

  • In this storm season, the mutant storms occur in greater numbers.
  • In addition to the evolution materials, Mission Alerts from Mutant Storms will now award Storm Tickets as a reward.
    • Quota: 10 a day
  • Up to 5 mutant storms are available at the same time in Steinwald and up to 25 active storms in Plankerton, Bru-Tal and Twine Peaks.
  • Purchased upgrade llamas now include storm tickets.
  • All missions will continue to award seasonal gold as rewards, and daily missions will continue to award daily coins.
  • Most event contracts give out storm tickets.
    • V-Bucks award some event contracts.
  • The Legendary Hydra Conversion Key is now available in the Event Shop!
  • The event shop also has the legendary designer heroine BASIS-Hype on offer.
    • This heroine can also be included in the Event Storm Llama.
  • As we are reintroducing the legendary Hydra in this Mutant Storm event, it can now be recycled or placed in the collection, and now takes up inventory space.
  • For every 1,000 snowflake tickets that you still have lying around, you will automatically receive a holiday llama. You can find it in the loot tab. All tickets beyond this expire.

Mini bosses

  • There are still mini bosses on the map, but the number of mission alarms has been reduced compared to the holiday event.
  • Up to 3 of these miniboss mission alarms can appear simultaneously in Steinwald and 6 in Plankerton, Bru Valley and Twine Peaks.
    • Quota: 3 per day
  • These mini boss mission alarms are now replacing the old, generic mission alarms that used to be on the map. This results in the following:
    • Miniboss Mission Alerts can now also be played in missions that have high difficulty and have not yet been unlocked.
    • Mini Boss Mission Alerts will reward a variety of items including keys, sketches, survivors, and more!
  • The return of the mini boss missions:
    • Giving seasonal gold as a reward and can be repeated.
    • With seasonal gold items can be purchased in the event shop.
      • This currency only lasts for one season, so spend it while you can!

Gameplay

  • Automatic running has been added!

  • The damage done by melee weapons to the area has been standardized.
    • This damage has so far varied from 20 % to 70 % of the weapon damage and ultimately depended on the type of weapon and the material hit.
    • A fixed percentage of 50 % of weapon damage for wood and stone and 20 % for metal has now been set for all weapons.
    • Pickaxes are not affected by the change.

Heroes

Bug fixes

  • Frag grenades and cluster bombs no longer fall through water. This bug could result in soldiers being able to throw a second grenade.

UI

  • The new option "Reject all friend requests" has been added to the friend functions.

Bug fixes

  • Consumable conversion keys can now only create items that match the rarity of the key.
    • This should prevent players from accidentally using consumable high rarity conversion keys to create a low rarity item.
  • Mission Alert rewards will no longer be displayed in-game on the target screen if you have already redeemed the current mission alert or reached your quota.
  • Acquiring a llama during the tutorial no longer leads to errors in the UI.
  • Fixed a graphical issue where survivors' strength levels looked like they hadn't increased them after leveling up.

Graphics / animations

  • The flashing lamps on tube electron guns have been mothballed and will remain in the attic until next year. The lamps are now back in their standard orange.
  • Energy weapons are no longer displayed as completely blue.

known problems

  • Jerks occur at different times. This includes the joining of players in matches, changes to equipment as well as day-night changes.
  • The friend interface is displayed incorrectly.
