A bug in the Distribution of the rewards for the Faction Challenge Event in GWENT, double the rewards.
Normally bugs tend to be annoying and all you get from them is an apology from the developers. In the case of GWENT, however, the developers of CD Projekt Red respond by doubling the rewards.
For the winners of the Faction Challenge, Northern Kingdoms, it should be the Premium Dijkstra map give and 100 Meteorite dust for the defeated Skellig supporters as a consolation prize.
However, due to a bug, the premium version of Madman Lugos issued to the winners. Instead of removing the card and replacing it with the correct one, the GWENT developers decided to leave the “wrong” card to the players and to additionally distribute the Dijkstra card.
So the fighters for the Northern Kingdoms receive 2 premium cards for their victory. So that the Skellig followers do not "double" go empty-handed, their rewards are also doubled and they receive with it 200 meteorite dust. So a consistently positive reaction from The Witcher developers to their mistake.
GWENT developers distribute double
The following is the complete statement from CD Projekt Red on the incident:
Dear players,
The first faction challenge is over and I want to thank everyone who attended the event and sent us their feedback. We learned a lot and will do our best to make the next event even better!
The Northern Kingdoms won the Faction Challenge, so they should have rewarded their followers with the Dijkstra Premium Card. That wasn't entirely the case, however, and Northern Realms players who took part in the Challenge were given the Madman Lugos Premium Card instead.
It wasn't intended. This is why we have decided to give the Dijkstra Premium Card to all Northern Realms supporters in addition to the Madman Lugos Card they have already received.
Since the profit side was rewarded twice, the Skellige supporters also receive meteorite dust twice - the reward for the losing faction. As a Skellige supporter, you will find an additional 100 meteorite dust in your account the next time you log in.
On behalf of the whole team, we apologize for the inconvenience.
