After Blizzard really excited the anticipation for the next Hearthstone expansion by introducing cards every day, we finally got the release date.

The time has come in Europe on August 11th and we can penetrate into the halls of the Ice Crown Citadel.

The new Hearthstone cards

With "Knights of the Frost Throne" there are not only new cards, but also new death knight cards for each class. When you play these cards you get a battle cry effect, armor and since your hero is replaced by the corresponding death knight variant, a new hero ability.

With life deprivation a new trait comes into play where you are healed for damage done.

One of the bigger changes that should come with the expansion was implemented as a hotfix last week. All newly purchased or earned card packs cannot contain duplicate Legendary cards. If you have the normal or gold version of a Legendary card like Ragnaros, you cannot get it a second time. Only when you have collected all the legendary cards in a set, in this case Classic, will you receive duplicates again.

In addition, the same card cannot appear more than twice in a single card package.

This makes opening parcels much more exciting and completing the collection much faster.

Until August 11th there is also the possibility to pre-order 50 packages of the expansion + an exclusive card back for the offer price of 49.99 €.
