About the latest hero for Heroes of the Storm, Garrosh, we have already reported. In the meantime the war chief has arrived on the Public Test Realm. You can test Garrosh and the other changes there until August 7th. Blizzard welcomes your participation and feedback.

Here are some of the highlights:

General - VS AI team composition:

There are no more mirror matches. Players no longer compete against duplicate enemy AI heroes in this game mode.

New in Heroes of the Storm: Garrosh

As the new war chief, Garrosh is a proud and cruel warrior who leads the Horde with an iron fist. His hatred of the Alliance is limitless and he will go no further than try to destroy it. Thanks to his ax, the orcs will regain their rightful honor. Garrosh is a close fighter who throws himself into the fray regardless of casualties and teaches fear to his enemies.

There are a number of improvements to the user interface:

• Armor displays:
  • Armor-related buff and debuff indicators have been added to heroes' life bars.
• Cooldown notifications next to the mouse pointer:
  • Added an option to allow ability cooldowns to be displayed next to the mouse cursor.
    • This function can be activated or deactivated in the options.
• MVP banner:
  • The MVP's banner will now appear on the original MVP screen.
• In-game chat improvements:
  • The chat window in the game can now be moved by clicking on the arrow symbol while the chat window is open and dragging it.
  • You can now display the progress of the chat window with the Page Up and Page Down keys.
  • Added the option to show the time a message was sent during the game before each message.
  • Hero names are now shown as hero icons in chat to the left of messages.

Ranked cards

The Rotation of the battlefields for rated matches is updated, the following cards form the new rotation:

The update can be tried out on the PTR until August 7th. Before it will be uploaded to the live server in the near future with any changes.
