The Metro Games based on the novel Metro 2033 have long since ceased to be an insider tip, now with Metro Exodus the newest title in the series presented at E3.
The backstory of the games and books is set in a world after a nuclear war. The survivors have to hide underground from the radiation, for the protagonist this means the Moscow Metro. Excursions to the overworld are fraught with dangers from bandits, radiation and mutated animals.
Metro Exodus - Shooter in the nuclear winter
Metro Exodus packs the whole thing into a first-person shooter with an epic story. The fight and sneak system goes well with exploring the hostile environment and the survival horror elements of the destroyed world.
The players are forced to flee Moscow and survive in post-apocalyptic Russia, the story will take us across the hostile continent. This huge environment makes Metro Exodus the greatest Metro game yet.
While we fight for survival and follow the story, we should be on the road for almost a year and experience the change of the seasons accordingly, up to the nuclear winter. The story is told non-linearly, so we are not tied to a fixed path, but look for our own way.
As a release date for Metro Exodus the developers of 4A Games have only announced in 2018. Hopefully more information will be available soon and we will deliver it to you as soon as possible. You can pre-order the game on the official homepage. Metro Exodus will be released for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC. As always, you can find the trailer at the beginning of this article.
If you want to know the background story better or want to spend the waiting time with a good book, the Roman templates are the ideal Metro 2033 by Dmitri Alexejewitsch Gluchowski to recommend.
