Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom

Fans of Japanese role-playing games are longing for March 23rd and the release of Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom come here. To shorten the waiting time, Bandai Namco released a 25-minute gameplay video today. The "Demo Walkthrough #2" first shows us the tactical mode in which we can lead our army into combat up close.

The background is that our protagonist Evan doesn't want to run through gloomy dungeons forever, but plans to build his own kingdom. To set up this, of course, you need some space. And so we first have to get a bandit outpost out of the way with our army.

The companions we recruit along the way bring their followers and followers with them into battle. We then lead them into battle against the enemy. There are also a lot of special abilities such as Air strikes.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom - Real-time combat instead of turn-based

The second part of the video shows the more traditional gameplay and how the player runs through the game world and fulfills his mission. There are objects such as raw materials lying around everywhere that can be collected by simply running over them. Opponents can of course also be found, but with whom short work is made. At least until the mission's final boss presents us with a greater challenge.

In the finished game you can switch between the party members, but in the demo the developers limited themselves to the protagonist Evan. The game leaves a great impression and provides variety with its unique graphic style. According to many fans, one of the RPG highlights of 2018 awaits us here.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will be released on March 23, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and PC (via Steam). Whoever bought the Collectors Edition via the Bandai Namco Store pre-ordered, you will also receive an exclusive replica of the card.
