This year's E3 fair was a few days ago, but only now Bandai Namco has released the almost 30 minute gameplay video for Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom.
In the meantime, the release date announced at E3 has even been postponed.
The video shows how the developers presented the game at E3 and played through the demo. Even 2 boss fights are shown and the combat system is explained on the basis of this. Especially the epic second fight, on an island surrounded by lava with a lot of flame effects, shows the visual strengths of the game. The visual style shouldn't hide the fact that Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is a full, deep role-playing game, with minute-long challenging battles.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is the successor to the Ni no Kuni: The Curse of the White Queen, also developed by Team Level-5, which was very well received by the press and fans.
The story of Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom:
“A coup forces King Evan and his cat people into exile, so that he now has to rely on the support of his friends and the mysterious power of the Higgledies to help them establish a new kingdom and reunite the world.
Travel to Katzbuckel, a rich and magnificent kingdom where - under the mild rule of a young king - cats, mice and humans live together in harmony.
But after evil forces stand against him and ban him from his own kingdom, the world is in danger. Only with the help of his loyal companions and the strength of the mysterious beings known as the Higgledies can Evan face the dangerous battles that await him. "
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will be released on January 19, 2018 for Playstation 4 and via Steam also for PC.
