From today through May 1, Overwatch will host the Insurrection Seasonal Event. Blizzard sends the player back in time by traveling back in time. One of the most important key events in history is shown to us up close. Players will learn the details of the stories of some of their favorite heroes while receiving over 100 new items from the Riot loot boxes. Together with your friends you plunge into the new co-op brawl and experience Tracer's first mission.
Seasonal loot boxes in Overwatch
During the Uprising event, all loot boxes will be replaced by Uprising loot boxes. In these, players can find items from the time of the uprising, each one filled to the brim with memories.
Special skins such as Widowmakers Talon Skin, Blackwatch Skins for Genji and McCree, as well as Feldsänitäterin Ziegler for Mercy, Cadet Oxton Tracer give your heroes a unique look.
Each loot box will contain at least one skin, a highlight intro, an emote, a spray or a player icon from the uprising collection. If you by chance miss your dream skin, you can activate it with credits.
All items that are unlocked during the journey into the past will of course be preserved forever and can be created at any time. The chance to get these items, however, is limited in time, so rummage through the archive as thoroughly as possible before May 1st.
The first mission
7 years we travel back in time and as Tracer, Torbjön, Reinhardt and Mercy put down the uprising in the besieged streets of King's Row. Our enemies are omnic separatists who have conquered the area and whose robot hordes are resisting us.
This struggle could trigger a new war between humans and omnics. Accordingly, the most important task of our team is to liberate the city and prevent war. For this, the team has to support each other, develop new tactics and adapt flexibly to the battle. The opponents will stop at nothing and tracers and companions must be prepared for anything.
