The PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS developers have presented a whole range of innovations in their monthly update. Since the big patch had to be postponed last week due to a bug, there is a smaller update this week.
Early Access - Week 18 - Patch Notes
- Fixed a bug where characters got stuck in doors after partially destroying them
- Fixed a bug causing the door Interaction UI to appear even after doors were completely destroyed
- You can now use consumables while browsing the inventory during a reload
- Fixed a bug where characters could not pick up items while running despite seeing the looting animation
- Fixed a bug where characters would shake in spectator mode while running
The postponed patch will follow on August 3rd, bringing the promised first person servers for NA and EU solo and duo matches. The update also includes the Field of View slider for the first person mode, and the developers are also adding a new rifle to the game.
PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - New loot boxes and cosmetic options
One thing that players keep asking about is other cosmetic options for their characters, such as new clothes or skins to change their appearance. With the update on August 3rd there will be 3 new loot boxes with new items from Battle Royal Movie inspired. The first two boxes "Wanderer Crate" and "Survivor Crate" can be opened easily and both contain a set of clothing and other cosmetic items.

The third box is that "Gamescom Invitational Crate" and their content will offer the widest choice.
The gamescom tournament
The first major offline tournament for PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS will be held at gamescom 2017. The developers will invite the best content creators such as YouTubers and Twitch Streamer and hold daily events throughout the fair. There will also be daily qualifying rounds for the PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS Invitational.
With the "Gamescom Invitational Crates", the Bluehole team are starting a small test. The boxes can be bought using Battle Points on the reward page, and a key is required to open them, which will cost $ 2.50. The tournament, the prize money for the winners and is used to support charities are financed from the proceeds of the key sales.

As soon as gamescom ends on August 27th, the box will no longer be available, but existing boxes can be traded on the Steam Marketplace. You can see more pictures of the new outfits on the Steam page for the update.
The tournament will of course be broadcast via the PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS social media channel such as Twitch, Facebook, Youtube and Mixer and will start every day at 4 p.m.
