The developers of PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS are slowly but surely preparing for the end of Early Access. The schedule for the further test server phases and the next mini patch for the live server were published in a blog post.
PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Preparations for the end of Early Access are underway
Until the release of PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS version 1.0, there should be several tests on the public test server. Especially the new one Vaulting & Climbing System (jumping & climbing) will be extensively tested in early November. The developers hope for the largest possible number of participants in order to be able to test and perfect this feature as precisely as possible.
Further tests will mainly focus on bug fixes. The development team works around the clock to get the game bug-free for release and to improve performance. The last test phase will be particularly intensively devoted to these problems.
There is still a small patch for the live server this week:
Early Access - Week 31 - Patch Notes
Gameplay
- Increased the blue zone DOT (Damage over Time)
Bug fix
- Resolved a bug where bullets would sometimes ignore armor
We have received a lot of feedback asking for improvement of the blue zone. We have decided to adjust the blue zone damage to encourage engagement inside of the play zone. From this new update, you will be able to focus more on the immediate, close-ranged skirmishes inside the play zone, instead of dealing with enemies outside of the play zone during the mid to late phases of the game. We would love to hear the responses regarding the changes from all members of our community once you've tried it in the test servers.
In response to feedback from the community, the damage over time is amplified by the Blue Zone. This makes it all the more important to get back into the play area as quickly as possible.
