The South Park sometimes pushing the boundaries of normal jokes is probably nothing new. Minorities were called in as “volunteers for Operation Living Shield” in the film and most of the characters actually follow a typical cliché. In the newest game South Park: The Fractured But Whole (in the original: The Fractured but Whole), there is already such a “joke” when the difficulty is set. The harder you want the game to be, the darker your character will be.
As Cartman comments: “Don't worry this doesn't affect combat. Just every other aspect of your whole life. "
Translated: “Don't worry, it doesn't affect the fights, just any other aspect of your entire life”.
So the reactions and dialogues the people of South Park have with your character change. Of course, as a member of a minority in the South Park universe you earn significantly less, so the difficulty of the fights is at least indirectly increased.
The South Park series writers are heavily involved in the development.
In any case, you can tell how closely the writers of the series, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, work closely with the developers of the game. Part 1 already played more like an overly long episode and was indistinguishable from the series in terms of ingenuity and jokes.
Therefore it is no wonder that the fans accept the multiple postponements of "The Fractured Buttress" when a 1: 1 implementation of the popular series appears at the end.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole will be released on October 17, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. We have added the last trailer for the game from the E3 trade fair for you at the beginning of the article.
