The Witcher developers want to return to Geralt's world

The Witcher

In an interview did CD Projekt Red CEO Adam Kiciński good news for all The Witcher fans. There will be at least more games in the world of The Witcher give, albeit without Geralt.

Geralt, from Rivia and the 3 previously released The Witcher games are one of the foundations for the success of the Polish game developer CD project red. Part 3 in particular sold millions of times and the gigantic role-playing game with hundreds of hours of fun generated a huge fan base.

The Witcher 4 a fresh start?

All the more surprising came the statements that there should be no further game with Geralt, his story had been told. Rather the exception these days. Many of the big publishers have little hesitation in releasing a sequel under well-known names every year until the quality has dropped so much that the fans jump out.

The statement of Adam Kiciński now makes at least hope for more games in the world of The Witcher. You will probably have to do without the previous main character Geralt. But that doesn't necessarily mean bad things. This gives the developers new freedom and does not get stuck in old paths.

At the moment CD Projekt Red is developing Cyberpunk 2077 busy so you don't have to take a vacation to return to Geralt's world just yet. The whole thing can, and almost certainly will, take several more years.

In the meantime, you can come to terms with GWENT: The Witcher Card Game whose esports scene is now really gaining traction and whose big 2nd open tournament starts next week.
