The individualization of your character, or in this case: tanks, is an important point for many players and is in World of Tanks now completely revised.
As the developers announced today, the responsible team is working on a comprehensive improvement of the customization system. So your metal monsters should reflect your preferences even more in the future. In the course of this, a revision of the prices is also planned.
Come with the update optical effects, camouflages, coats of arms, lettering and a larger selection of colors. Attachment is also made easier with styles and marking of the modifiable areas on the tanks. The customization system is not tied to patch 9.21 and is therefore not subject to a time limit; the system will only be implemented when it is running as desired.
World of Tanks - The new "exterior"
The window has 5 new tabs Exterior, these are used to apply ready-made style sets or new creations.
Style sentences
These allow you to change the appearance of your vehicle in a flash. In the future, you can assemble prefabricated style sets with just one click. You can also create your own style.
colour
It takes 5 buckets of paint to paint the entire tank. Here you have to differentiate between historically correct and deviating colors. The historically correct colors require a separate set of colors for each season, i.e. a total of 15 buckets.
The display of different colors can be checked and deactivated.
camouflage
Camouflages are now divided into three parts. You can attach each of these separately to the hull, turret and gun of the vehicle, put together a set of several camouflages for each season and specify the size of the camouflage in small, medium or large - for each of these areas. With certain camouflages you can adjust their appearance within a certain color palette.
Emblems and lettering
Thanks to the improved customization surface, it will be much easier to attach in the future. Special fixed points show where and how you can attach something.
Effects
Here you can find special looks such as aging or fading effects that affect the color and camouflage. Whether highly polished or dusty like a museum piece, everything is possible.
Price changes
With such extensive changes, of course, the price system must be adjusted. The team is currently developing a uniform pricing model. According to the World of Tanks developers, the transition should be made as simple as possible:
In order to minimize the inconvenience of such a change, each of you will receive a nine-part camouflage set when the mechanics appear. It consists of three sets, one for each season, and contains parts for the hull, turret and gun. “What is so special about it?” You will ask yourself. Unlike the other, nation-bound camouflages, these special textures can be applied to absolutely any vehicle.
