The last lap on World of Warcraft Hotfixes bring some PvP adjustments and, above all, the shadow priest is doctored around.

World of Warcraft - Changes to the Shadow Priest

The "Void eruption" no longer scales with the number of "Shadow word: pain" or "Vampire Touch" on every target. With the change, damage is now dealt once if at least one of the two spells is active on the target.

Instead, the damage of the void eruption has been increased enormously, namely by 700%.

At the Shadow floor the cooldown time was reduced from 30s to 20s, but Blizzard increased the madness generation from 15 to 20 and the projectiles now fly 60% faster.

To compensate for the intensification of the void eruption "Heart of the Void" the damage of only 75% instead of 300% and heals 15% less (25% instead of 40%).

With "Shadow Word: Pain" and "Vampire Touch" the damage is reduced by 4% to compensate for the amplification of the void eruption in long battles.

      • Void Eruption no longer deals separate damage for each individual use of Shadow Word: Pain or Vampiric Touch on each target. Instead, damage is dealt once to each target if it is affected by at least one of the two spells.
      • Void Flare damage increased by 700 %.
      • Shadow Missile cooldown reduced to 20 seconds (was 30 seconds), Insanity generation increased to 20 (was 15), and projectile speed increased by 60 %.
      • Mind Blast (Passive) damage increased by 50 %.
      • Heart of the Void increases Void Flare damage by 75 % (was 300 %) and heals you for 25 % (was 40 %) of the damage dealt.
        • Developer Comment: This offsets the amplification of Void Eruption. Overall, the impact is minimal.
      • Shadow Word: Pain damage reduced by 4 %.
      • Vampiric Touch damage reduced by 4 %.
        • Developer Comment: This makes up for the Void Eruption buff in longer battles.

PvP

  • The Intelligence, Strength, Agility, and Versatility granted by Unity of the Legionnaires in PvP situations is now reduced by 65 % for all players (was 60 %).

      • Pillar of Frost now increases Strength by 12 % in PvP situations (was 20 %).
      • Frozen Core now increases Frost damage dealt in PvP situations by 5 % (was 10 %).

      • The persistent silence effect of 'sunbeam' can no longer be avoided by jumping.
  • Hunter
    • Scorpid Poison can no longer be used while the hunter is stunned.
    • Marksmanship
      • 'TNT' no longer allows opposing players who are just within range of 'burst fire' to ignore the disorientation effect of burst fire.

      • PvP intelligence template decreased by 4 %.
  • monk
    • Mistweaver
      • Blackout Kick deals 10 % more damage in PvP situations.
      • Kick of the Rising Sun does 10 % less damage in PvP situations.
    • Windrunner
      • Blackout Kick deals 10 % more damage in PvP situations.
      • Fists of Fury does 5 % less damage in PvP situations.
      • Ride the Wind now properly stacks with other spells and effects that increase movement speed.
      • Kick of the Rising Sun does 10 % less damage in PvP situations.

      • Ray of Hope final damage is no longer reduced by damage reduction abilities.
      • Holy Warding will now properly prevent the use of Blasting Fire and Between the Eyes.
      • Big Fade now properly misses the disorientation effect of Blast Fire.
    • shadow
      • The stun in the area of effect of Mind Bomb now checks the field of view from the original target.
      • Void Eruption deals 60 % less damage in PvP situations.
      • Whip of Madness now generates 2 madness per tick in PvP situations (was 3).
  • Villain

    • Assassination
      • Flying Daggers now increases the area of effect of Fan of Daggers by 50 % (was 100 %).
  • shaman
    • The Heaven's Wrath Totem no longer mistakenly keeps the shaman using the ability in combat for the duration of the totem.
    • Restoration
      • The totem of the tides (artifact trait 'tidal pool') no longer mistakenly holds the shaman using the ability for the duration of the totem in combat.
    • Elementary
      • Elemental Overload deals 25 % less spell damage in PvP situations.
    • Restoration
      • Healing Wave does 175 % more healing in PvP (was 200 %).
  • Sorcerer
    • Demonology
      • Implosion deals 30 % less damage in PvP situations (was 20 %).
    • destruction
      • Cremation now deals 3 % of the target's maximum health damage (was 5 %).

      • PvP Versatility Template reduced by 5 %.
