World of Warcraft Patch 7.2, which is currently under development on the Public Test Realm, will add additional capabilities to the artifacts.
The whole thing works via a quest series, at the start of which you have to unlock all previous artifact skills. Then go to the Broken Shore to find a clue of dangers posed by new Legion plans. After delivering the quest object to the council in Dalaran, a role-specific quest series will start for you. Upon successful completion of the series, the new abilities of your artifact will be unlocked, including higher artifact knowledge levels.
World of Warcraft - PTR Update 7.2
Developer Blizzard will continue many other story lines with the next major update. Returning to the Broken Shore will require you to fight the Legion forces and establish an outpost. The complete expansion of the base then unlocks a solo scenario for Archmage Khadgar.
You will also work on the coast on behalf of your order. Unlocking the new artifact knowledge levels and bonuses for your artifact weapon is part of these quests.
During your adventures on the Broken Shore, other demon attacks will also stand in your way. With the defense of this in the context of the world quests you try to push back the legion. Together with your allies you will fight the command ship of the Burning Legion, the Sentinax. Hovering over the battlefield, it supplies the legionary army with supplies through portals. With the opening of new, larger portals, you encourage the Sentinax to send stronger and stronger opponents that you have to eradicate. If you are successful, a raid boss will appear at the end, hopefully you have enough allies with you.
By completing the first quests and the first scenario on the Broken Shore, you will also gain access to the Eternal Night Cathedral. This new 5 player dungeon is the first chapter of the great story, in the course of which you try to stop the invasion of the Burning Legion and save Azeroth with the five pillars of creation.
It is not yet known when Patch 7.2 for World of Warcraft will be released. Since the current version is marked as release version on the PTR, it cannot take long.
