Final Fantasy XV Director Hajime Tabata has announced that he wants to release at least 3 more DLCs in 2018. The DLCs, in the style of the previous ones Episodes, should start with episode: Ardyn.
The developers are addressing one of the few points of criticism for the last game in the Final Fantasy series. Because in the opinion of the fans, the world lacks the background story and the details that make a fantasy world lively and real. The Ardyn episode in particular is intended to fill many gaps in this regard.
Final Fantasy XV - New DLCs start with Ardyn
What exact plans Square Enix for Final Fantasy XV should be decided by the end of 2017. This is followed by the announcements and the exact dates of the upcoming DLCs. According to Tabata, one of the fans' wishes is an episode about Luna. Luna is the future wife of Prince Noctis, the main character in the game. Her side of the story in particular was little told in the game. Without the additional footage in the form of the Final Fantasy XV movie Kingsglaive, even less.
One episode over Luna would fill some gaps in the story and fulfill fan wishes at the same time. Satisfying the fans is not the only plan of the developers, rather the fans should be surprised by the new stories and their expectations even "betrayed". Even players who have already played through the entire story should be riveted again. So one can wait and see which twists and turns our characters will have to deal with.
Final Fantasay XV has been released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A PC release should follow in early 2018.
